A limited-edition of brooches from my Connections collection. Are they wearing you or are you wearing them? These grew out of the Earring version of the collection which I'd made inspired by my interest & observations in humans; sociologically and psychologically. They evoke conversations, connections, relations between the buyer, wearer and spectator etc.

This is for ONE brooch, the 'Mademoiselle' brooch.
There's only one of this from the batch, what you see is what you'll get with the straight nose.

Handcrafted entirely from sheets of brass, I first pierce the shapes from the sheet then stamp them with some patterns, drill holes, solder the links, fringes (which moves and dangles) etc then they are finally passed on to the local Paris gilder to be plated in 18kt gold.

I love how the fringes elicit tickling! And the earrings can move too.


Approximate measurements:
• the total length including the fringes is 2.4 cm
• the head itself is about 1.9cm x 1.8cm, measured without the fringes
• I've chosen to use steel wire for the pin/hooks for their strength
• the finish is in Matt Satin
• NOTE: should be handled and worn with care
• handcrafted by me from my workshop in Paris.
