This is a ready-made unique pair of earrings, from the 'Old World Meets New' collection handcrafted from Mother of Pearl and Oxidised Sterling Silver. A piece of jewellery that speaks culture and history, a conversational piece that is sure to be a great topic and heirloom for generations to come.
The back of the earrings is also a feature in itself, textured with both a combination of leaf & Linen then perforated to let the Pearly finish through. The Biseauté collection is very much present in this piece – the origins of the MOP are of vintage French gaming coins which I'd hand-pierced, sculpted & polished specifically for this pair. Each of the oval piece has been securely riveted 4 times onto the silver sheet where you see the black dots are.

The bevelled edges were inspired by my love for antique Biseauté mirrors – combining that texture with fine linen of the Silver's surface which is the back of both the pieces. The results echo the tactility of the faraway world some of us once knew.

Approximate measurements:
• the total length of the earring is 3.9cm
• the Oval Mother of Pearl pieces are 3cm x 2.4cm
• handcrafted by me from ethically sourced materials.

NOTE: The oxidised patina is a surface treatment which over time will wear off bit by bit leaving you a lovely vintage look. You may however re-patina it for an overall grey finish at home using a simple non-toxic technique. Please contact seller for tips.
