This is for a one-of-a-kind ready-made 'Kowhai& Daisy in the Wind’ leaf pendant necklace. Handcrafted from patinated Sterling Silver this piece is inspired from the group show ‘Vegetal Slaughterhouse’ exhibition as part of the Parcours Bijoux/Contemporary Jewellery festival 2020, in Paris that terminated on the 16th of October – please scroll to the last picture for the whole collection.

This particular ensemble is accompanied by a Daisy pendant not like the others which I’ve made. The articulate leaf is Inspired by Kōwhai, a small woody legume trees within the genus Sophora that are native to New Zealand where I grew up.

They’re both engineered to articulate and move as you would and have small parts that would require some care when worn, so not to have it entangled with your scarf, clothes, tabletops etc.

Each leaf was cut from a plate of silver, pressed with a fine linen cloth for texture, soldered with a stem etc. The bail is held tight together with a rivet as shown in the picture.

Approximate measurements:
• Pendant: 5.5cm long x 2cm wide
• There are 2 adjustable lengths to the chain: 54cm / 20.4 inch and 47cm / 18.5 inch
• Handcrafted from ethically sourced Sterling Silver from my atelier in Paris, France.
