This gorgeous, unique and delicious slice of Watermelon Tourmaline has been hand-set into a simple claw setting style to show off its natural colour & texture all around. The frame and chain are made entirely from Sterling silver with 2 lengths to adjust with. It has been plated in 18kt Yellow Gold.

It is typical for Tourmalines to have inclusions, they resemble thread-like cavities that run parallel to the length of the crystal. Under magnification, you can see that they're filled with liquid or gas bubbles. Watermelon Tourmalines often have the red or pink centre surrounded by a rim of light yellow and a bit of light green, then eventually wrapped in black.

It's a beautiful nicely polished stone hung on a short chain that's meant to be worn short.

The gemstone was bought from a collector at a Mineral Expo in Paris. I own 2 of the same size and colour.
